Dom Carlos I Park

Caldas da Rainha

Located in the historic centre of Caldas da Rainha, this romantic Park is annexed to the Rainha D. Leonor Thermal Hospital. The Park was created in 1889 in order to have more to offer the patients of the thermal hospital: there they could walk and hang out while undergoing treatment. Later on, it was named after King Carlos I.

This green area of Caldas da Rainha counts on infrastructures with a lake that has boats on it, a bandstand, a restaurant with a terrace, a tennis court, and a picnic area. While visiting the Park, you can observe the many sculptures there and the Jose Malhoa Museum in the ‘Boat House’.
