Rio Maior
March

Organization:
Municipality and Business Association of the District of Rio Maior

Information:

The local communities are in charge of serving the delicacies to visitors. The typical taverns built inside Pavilhao Multiusos de Rio Maior represent the symbolic sites of this parish. Codfish with Mangusto, Cabrito Serrano (mountain kid goat), Galo com Nozes, Tiborna (warm bread soaked in olive oil), Chanfana, Broad Beans with Spare Ribs, Lamb Stew, or the original Feijoada de Lentos (snail and bean casserole) are just a few of the typical dishes that you can taste in this event.

The festival takes place every year in March and lasts for ten days.
